We walked yesterday to the top of akrimatis from monolitos with guide Vasilis and guide joergos. Started at 10 and dinished before lunch at 14 hours. First part went up strongly but after visiting chapel of st john tour became moderate. Splendid views on the way and at the top. We will come again.

I had a great experience hiking up Akramytis mountain with Vasilis and Alexis. They both were very friendly and knowledgeable and the hike itself was such a good fun. The views from Akramytis were amazing and it was really nice to stop for a traditional sesame seed and honey snack by a small mountain chapel. Upon descent we stopped for a local lunch....wich was more like a feast than a lunch! The food was absolutely delicious! The lady running the place was so charming - she packed me the left overs (there was absolutely no way I could finish) and poured us some souma for the journey back. Definitelt one of the top experiences had in Rhodes and highly recommended!

It was a wonderful day with Alexis and Vasilis! The two picked us up in the morning with their car near the hotel. They were very open and talkative, it was a laid back atmosphere! The hiking route was great, we had a great view of the whole island. In addition to a snack was the drinking (water, coffee and a Souma) and lunch with traditional Greek dishes included. They were very keen to show us the most beautiful sites of Rhodes and finally successful! With a colleague, they even got us a honey, off the tourist stalls worried 🙂 It is definitely a wonderful alternative to the beach and a great experience to know the countrymen and go off the beaten track. We thank you for your hospitality !!!!

Last August we booked a hiking daytrip, which turned out to be much more than just hiking. The paths were a revelation. Never imagined that Rhodes had so dense vegetation and such picturesque mainland. Billy from Rhodetrip showed us how to collect herbs and mushrooms that we gave at a local village taverna (Monolithos) and they cooked them for us! We tried greek cuisine and everything was so fresh. Right from the fields. The best choice to discover the real island!
